The Jus Danz Dance Curriculum for all students participating in the Jus Danz program primarily focuses on Modern, Jazz and Hip-Hop dance. For creative and artistic purposes, elements of other dance styles are also incorporated in relation to choreography. Every Jus Danz student participates in an end of the year Recital/Concert which showcases each class, masterfully performing their creatively assigned choreography. Costume fees will be incurred and collected (installments are suggested beginning in September as the last Saturday of every month) ending with the final fee due the second Saturday in January. Every student participating must pay the costume fee in full in order to participate in the final Recital/Concert of the year. All participants in the JD Performance Plus program will have additional fees.

A native Washingtonian, Mrs. Linda Hamm, is a passionate dancer and educator. Linda Hamm is the Director/Dance Instructor & Choreographer of Jus Danz. Linda began her dance training in Ballet/Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Modern and Hip-Hop at Incarnation Dance Group in Washington, DC. As a dance instructor/choreographer, Linda’s greatest achievement is being considered a role model. With over 10 years of teaching experience in dance, Linda has instructed students from age 3 to adults.

Linda graduated in 1993 from H.D. Woodson Senior High School as Salutatorian and received the Sponsor’s Award for her leadership as Captain of the Dance Squad. In pursuit of higher learning, Linda attended and graduated with honors from Mount Vernon College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a minor in Dance. Linda conceived and directed her own multi-disciplinary performance work at Mount Vernon College and received the prestigious Outstanding Achievement Award in Choreography from 1994-1997. As an active member in the dance community, Linda had the honor of performing with Helanius Wilkins, dancer/choreographer for Joy of Motion Dance Center, and in The George Washington University IN Series at the Mount Vernon College campus in A Harlem Nocturne, Women In Performance and Idomeneo King of Crete Opera.

Using her gift of dance, Linda has vigorously taught her students in Ballet/Pointe, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip-hop and Afro-Cuban styles of dance at Incarnation Dance Group, ASA Academy of Dance, Mount Vernon College and Dance Dimensions. With barely a month to train, Linda choreographed and worked intensely with two students for the Kings Dominion Spirit Weekend 2002 Dance and Cheer Competition, bringing home a 1st place win in their division. Another student Linda trained had competed and was crowned “Little Miss Maryland” at the International Church of Christ in Landover, Maryland. Every student, parent and colleague that has worked with Linda knows that she loves teaching immensely and works vehemently with all her students instilling in them to reach for higher goals for themselves not only in dance but also in life. Building self-esteem and a positive competitive attitude is another concern that Linda stresses to her students.

Continuing to nurture her craft, Linda is also a company member of Soul In Motion Players, Inc. Theater & African Dance and Drumming, www.soulinmotionplayers.org.
